I AM COMMITTED TO HELPING YOU ACHIEVE YOUR HAPPIEST, HEALTHIEST YOU –
AND THAT STARTS WITH A CONFIDENT SMILE.
I am honored to be a hometown dental care provider in Waconia. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and well-cared for. You will find that honesty and integrity are two traits I highly value. I offer services in all areas of dentistry and focus on contemporary cosmetic and esthetic dentistry, including bonding, ceramic veneers, crowns, and smile enhancement services. I also offer tooth replacement options such as implant restorations, bridges, and dentures. I believe the best dentistry is often achieved with a team approach, and I maintain great working relationships with top specialists in the area to ensure convenience and high quality care if a referral is necessary. I value getting to know you with each visit to understand your personal motivations, outlooks and goals. I love seeing children and having the opportunity to help families understand that early prevention can lead to a lifetime of a healthy, beautiful smile. That's why dentistry is about so much more than cavities; there are also opportunities to guide proper growth, diet and nutrition, sleep habits that may affect growth and development, behavior, and overall health. During our visits together, we will explore how the smile you've always dreamed of is truly attainable.

I graduated from Dakota County Technical College with a degree in dental assisting. It's hard to believe I have been a dental assistant for nearly 12 years! I love the variety my job offers, and I most enjoy helping people have a positive experience at the dentist, especially children. Working in dentistry has taught me leadership and organization, as well as patience and sympathy
As a MN native, I grew up in Burnsville but spent summers on my grandparents’ farm in rural Prior Lake. It seemed only natural that when my husband Joe and I married, we start a farm life. At our hobby farm in Cokato, Joe and I raise goats, chickens and pigs, and we have two dogs, Chewy and Keysha.
We love to use our farm to provide for us. We harvest and preserve from our large garden, make maple syrup, and use milk from our goats and eggs from the chickens. Good thing I love to cook and bake! I love the MN summers that allow me to garden, paddleboard, rollerblade, and walk my dogs. I love trying new restaurants, a good book, friends and family. Of course it's not complete without a craft beer or local wine!
I have been working in the dental field for over ten years. Being a dental hygienist is truly my passion because I love connecting with patients. I graduated from Century College with degrees in both dental hygiene and dental assisting. Because of this background, I can always help with questions you may have about your dental or hygiene treatment. I will always strive to give you a comfortable, pleasant experience with your dental visit to help you achieve your best smile.
I was born and raised in St. Paul, and I currently live in Shakopee with my significant other Travis, my two children, and his two children. In our spare time, we enjoy watching our kids in their various sports and activities throughout the year. We also enjoy spending time up north with family and friends. Travis and I like to try new restaurants, go to comedy clubs, see live music, and take the kids to the movies. I like to read, spend time cooking and baking, and take our dog, Wilma, on walks.
I grew up in Lakeville Minnesota and now reside in Delano. I love the small town feel of Delano and the wonderful community. I have two cats, Kimber and Leena, and a black Lab named Gretzky. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, cooking, reading, traveling, being up north at the lake, riding a Harley, and spending time with my family and friends. I was drawn to the dental field a few years ago after a traumatic fall that left me unhappy with my smile. I had always enjoyed going to the dentist but this particular dentist really blew my mind. He transformed my smile and my confidence, and I knew I wanted to be a part of that change. I wanted to be able to influence peoples' lives the way he influenced mine. I attended Argosy University and earned an associate degree in Dental Hygiene. My favorite things about dentistry: I’m always learning, I enjoy meeting new patients and giving them a positive experience in the dental office as I have had.
With 20 years of dental and medical experience, I have enjoyed working with patients and their families because I am very much a people-person. My main concern is how to make you feel most comfortable during your dental visit. Away from the office, I also enjoy reading, movies, travel, the Arboretum and most of all, the beach! I am married with four grown children – a daughter, three sons, and two daughters-in-law. Please let me know if I can do anything for your comfort or answer any questions during your dental visit.
Looking back, I can see that I have always had an interest in dentistry. Growing up, I was the “at-home dentist” by helping my siblings wiggle out their baby teeth. After becoming a licensed dental assistant, I decided to pursue my love for dentistry further by becoming a dentist. I attended the University of St. Thomas and graduated in 2017 with a Bachelors of Science degree. Currently I am applying for dental school, while gaining experience in the field. I grew up on a hobby farm in Plato, MN with my six siblings and was home-schooled for most of my life. We had an abundance of adventures on our farm, and hosted a variety of animals; raising Miniature Schnauzers, participating in 4-H club, taking our animals and homemade projects to the county and sometimes even the state fair. During the summer before my senior year my family moved to Waconia, and we have been here ever since. There are many things I love about living in Minnesota: the beautiful green landscape in the summer, the many lakes for fishing and swimming, and especially the autumn. I love the crisp cool air, the magnificent colors, pumpkin lattes, apple orchards, cozy knit sweaters and the falling leaves. When I have free time I like to go on adventurous walks and spend time outdoors. I also love to read, draw and spend time with my family. I enjoy story writing, playing the piano and I’m always down for a good cup of coffee!
I answered a "Help Wanted" ad in a newspaper, yes, a real newspaper, and that is how I began what is now 20 years in the dental field. Throughout these year I have experienced many different personalities, philosophies, and approaches to dentistry. I started at Philp Family Dentistry in August of 2018. I am grateful to be part of this dental office. Dr. Philp focuses on excellent dental care and truly has the best interests of the patient at heart.
I currently reside in Chaska with my husband, two boys, dog and cat. Outside of work I enjoy taking day trips with my family to find different points of interest, such as a state park, waterfall or random scenic backroad. Our beef jerky road trips always prove to be a good time.
